Indra Nooyi leads one of the world’s largest convenient food and beverage companies, with 2008 annual revenues of more than $43 billion. The company’s products are sold in approximately 200 countries, and it employs some 198,000 people worldwide. Its principal businesses include Frito-Lay snacks, Pepsi-Cola beverages, Gatorade sports drinks, Tropicana juices and Quaker foods.

Prior to becoming Chairman and CEO, Nooyi served PepsiCo in a variety of roles, including President and Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Development.
 
Before joining PepsiCo in 1994, Nooyi held senior positions with Asea Brown Boveri, Motorola, and the Boston Consulting Group. Nooyi began her career in India, where she held product manager positions at Johnson & Johnson and at Mettur Beardsell, Ltd., a textile firm.
 
Nooyi serves as a member of the boards of the International Rescue Committee, Catalyst, and Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. She is a Successor Fellow of Yale Corporation and a member of the Board of Trustees of Eisenhower Fellowships, and she currently serves as Chairman of the U.S.-India Business Council.
 
She holds a BS degree from Madras Christian College, an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management in Calcutta, and a master’s degree in Public and Private Management from Yale University.
