Chairman and CEO Shearer’s Foods

Christopher “CJ” Fraleigh is Chairman and CEO of Shearer’s Foods, a leading contract and private label manufacturer of salty snacks, cookies and crackers in North America.  CJ has a consistent track record of creating sustained value through focused strategies and strong leadership.

Previously, CJ served as Chief Executive Officer of Sara Lee North America, a $7 billion division of the global consumer products company.  Over his seven years at Sara Lee, CJ also served as Chief Operating Officer of Sara Lee North America, and Chief Executive Officer of Sara Lee Food & Beverage.  CJ and his teams lead a transformation of the culture, innovation, and operations that resulted in more than doubling of profit, leading market share increases, and improved employee engagement.

Prior to joining Sara Lee, CJ spent four years in leadership at General Motors as General Manager of GMC-Buick-Pontiac, and Executive Director of Advertising and Corporate Marketing, where he was instrumental in leading the successful re-branding of Cadillac.

CJ began his career at PepsiCo where he spent twelve years successfully leading several beverage businesses including Mountain Dew and Pepsi-Cola.  His last position was Vice President, Colas.

CJ currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Darden Restaurants and Nonni’s Foods.  He is actively involved in industry issues and his local community.  CJ is married with four children.
